What is DeFacts?
DeFacts is a community-driven AI service that creates a shared knowledge ecosystem where users contribute, verify, and access factual information. Using blockchain technology, we track ownership of facts and reward contributors when their information proves useful to others, reducing redundant compute while building a valuable knowledge network.
Who can use DeFacts?
Anyone. Just using AI to search for answers starts building your DeFacts portfolio of knowledge, whether you’re a researcher, student, developer, or simply someone seeking accurate information.
How do I contribute facts?
Use our AI to answer questions as you normally would. When a question generates a new answer, the system automatically:
- creates a fact from the AI’s response,
- adds it to your DeFacts portfolio,
- records your ownership on the blockchain, and
- makes it available for others to use.
You don’t need to submit anything manually.
What happens when someone uses my fact?
When another user asks a similar question and the system uses a fact from your portfolio instead of computing a new answer, you earn rewards. The blockchain tracks each use of your facts, the compute saved, the value provided to other users, and your accumulated rewards.
How does the AI determine what becomes a fact?
DeFacts tracks fact claims with cryptographic proof of their source. In Phase 1 (current), we prove that a specific AI model gave a specific output, or that a website such as whitehouse.gov posted specific text on a given day. In Phase 2 (coming), we’ll adjudicate between conflicting fact claims to determine accuracy.
